Combination wrenches are used to install nuts and bolts. The "open end" easily slides onto a bolt or nut while the "box end" of the same size makes good contact with the nut and tends to stay engaged better. Combination wrenches may be metric or SAE (Fraction of an inch) sizes
Socket Wrenches
A Socket and Rachet are useful for installing and removing nuts and bolt. The rachet has a square drive and can be set to tighten in one direction and turn back in the opposite without loosening the bolt. Sockets come in metric and imperial bolt sizes.
Adjustable (Cresent) Wrenches
An adjustable wrench is handy if you need to frequently resize the wrench to fit different sized bolts.
